Abstract

Through documentary research, and deductive analysis, this paper analyzes the efficiency of the Mexican positive law in terms of rules on sanctions applicable to any ministers of worship and religious associations involved in politics. The findings demonstrate the lack of attention to this issue by the Federal Governments since 1992 to date. Also, the historical data of the limitation of the performance of priests in politics as one of the strongholds of the secular State in Mexico is reiterated in a relevant way
